WACCBIP at the University of Ghana has been selected as the inaugural Secretariat of the DxAMR Collaborative.
As Secretariat, WACCBIP (the West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens) will provide administrative, logistical, and coordination support to help drive the Collaborative’s work forward. The appointment reflects DxAMR’s commitment to equity and leadership from low- and middle-income countries in shaping the global AMR diagnostics agenda.
WACCBIP is a regional centre of excellence, based at the University of Ghana, with a strong track record in infectious disease research, training, and collaboration across Africa. Hosting the DxAMR Secretariat builds on this expertise, ensuring the Collaborative’s activities are rooted in local leadership and global partnerships.
